Innovation & Licensing

With the purpose of strengthening the continued sustainable development of drugs, research and innovations, Eurofarma structured the Innovation Management.

The area is directed to the support of new products, technologies and to the assessment of new markets. It collaborates to the company’s differentiated portfolio and contemplates New Business, Regulatory and PD&I areas and the Magabi Bioequivalence Center.

Part of Eurofarma’s growth plan concerns the expansion to the international market and the offering of innovative medications, which are product of its own researches. Because of these objectives – a courageous challenge –, the company is investing more and more on innovation projects, working in areas such as the product in-house development (pharmacotechnical and incremental projects); development through the partnership among researchers and universities (radical projects).

Eurofarma has created the Innovation Board, which takes care of PD&I projects, licensing, co-marketing and incentive to trials concerning new products, technologies, partnerships and assessment of new markets on a full-time basis. It largely contributes to the differentiation and expansion of the company’s portfolio and is accountable for the management of approximately 250 Eurofarma’s ongoing projects.

Innovation is one of the company’s main goals in order to assure the business perpetuation. It additionally represents one of the company’s growth and expansion strategies to national and international markets to achieve the organization’s Vision: “In 2015 we will be one of the three largest Brazilian pharmaceutical companies in relation to market participation, with own innovative products and own trademarks, being present in 90% of the Latin American market”.

The company invests in PD&I projects, working on the product in-house development (pharmacotechnical development), on incremental projects and through partnership among company, researchers and universities in radical projects.
